About Me

My name is Nancy White. I am an Ayurvedic Health Counsellor and a Registered Aromatherapist / Essential Oil Therapist. I graduated from the Minnesota Institute of Ayurveda in January 2023 and am a member of the Ayurveda Association of Canada. I have been a Registered Aromatherapist / Essential Oil Therapist with the Canadian Association of Aromatherapy since 2019.

My Story

Two Rivers Ayurveda is my home-based business located in the beautiful Bulkley Valley in British Columbia, near the confluence of the Bulkley and Telkwa Rivers. 'Two Rivers' reflects the location of my business, but also the blending and merging of eastern and western approaches to health.

I gravitated to aromatherapy and Ayurveda as I have always had an interest in health and wellness, but also because I have had my own health concerns over the years, some of which didn't seem to have clear medical answers. In particular, I struggled with digestive issues for a good part of my life. I also wanted to explore alternative health options for my son, who is neurodiverse, and sometimes needs support with emotional regulation.

When I began exploring Ayurveda, I learned about my own unique constitution and discovered that I had been eating foods that aggravated my dosha for most of my life (a big a-ha moment for me!). I also learned that I am a naturally sensitive person, and that doshic imbalances can arise quickly for me. Aligning my diet with my constitution has allowed my body to begin healing. Ayurvedic practices, including aromatherapy, have given me tools to address imbalances immediately as opposed to letting them accumulate. I am feeling healthier and more in control of my health than I ever have. I decided to become an Ayurvedic Health Counsellor so I could best support myself and my family, but also so I could share these amazing practices with others.
